Fake O returns with a side of mayo at Katz's

Back in early December, we spotted film crews outside Katz's. Notices stated the project as Hellman's.

It turns out this was for a Hellman's mayonnaise Super Bowl ad that reunited Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal as characters from 1989's When Harry Met Sally, eating some too-puny-for-Katz's sandwiches.

ICYMI the ad, which was in heavy rotation today... Sydney Sweeney also makes an appearance...

The spot will officially debut during Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 between the Commanders and Bills*.

* — yes, we know

Mayo traditionally does not belong in a Jewish deli. Just saying. Whatever, nobody cares. Never seen mayo in Katz's but have not been there in years. Nevermind, but it is not right in my head.

Brian, how right you are. Seeing that mayo bottle was like a game of what doesn't belong here. Now schmaltz on the other hand...

Next up: commercial showing someone putting mayo on their pastrami & rye sandwich...

I don't know ... mayo is in Russian dressing. I like turkey on rye with cole slaw and Russian dressing from a Jewish deli.

Just the fact that they can easily fit the sandwich in their hands implies they are not actually at Katz
