I saw Mulholland Drive in 2001 at the now shuttered Lincoln Plaza Cinema with my ex boyfriend while we were both high. What a trip that was. A very strange yet captivating film. Such a brilliant director ahead of his time. RIP Mr. Lynch

Saw all of his movies I think. Except Eraserhead.
Watched "Mulholland Drive" with my new love at the time, at a big theatre, don't remember which one, and it was such an unusual and exciting movie. Years later when visiting a friend in LA I rented a car just so I could drive on "Mulholland Drive".
RIP Sir.

I always felt that Lynch was America's equivalent to Luis Buñuel; versatile and surreal at the same time.
The Criterion Collection has a good number of Lynch's films with excellent supplements. Worth the price when the 50% sales occur or finding ( if you can) used at BookOff.

I saw Mulholland Drive on 42nd Street, in some kind of attic theater with about 30 seats and a smallish screen. There were maybe 4 other people there. It was the height of summer and the air-conditioning was out, so it was a total sweatbox. The uncomfortable torture of being in that room while watching the story unfold made it an unforgettable experience.
