A for-rent sign at the renovated former home of Black & White on 10th Street

For anyone wondering who the next tenant might be at 86 E. 10th St. — the former home of Black & White down the steps here between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue...

Following gut renovations and an exterior paint job, a for rent sign arrived on the storefront last week.

The retail listing doesn't yield many details, save for "not vented for cooking" and "all uses considered."

Black & White closed here in the fall of 2020 after 20 years of solid bar service. There was talk of a relocation this year, but that hasn't happened to date.

Last weekend for Black & White on 10th Street

Black & White wraps up its 20 years at 86 E. 10th St. between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue tomorrow (Sunday).

As previously reported, management (Johnny T of Niagara and Bowery Electric is an owner) says they will eventually relocate. Per an Instagram post from September:
Hey everyone, we’re moving locations... so come get your last drinks here while you can and we’ll see you in our new location in 2021!

The bar is open today and tomorrow from 4-11 p.m.

Black & White is closing, with plans to relocate in 2021

After more than 20 years at 86 E. 10th St. between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue, Black & White is moving on at the end of October.

Management (Johnny T of Niagara and Bowery Electric is an owner) says they will eventually relocate. Per an Instagram post last evening:
Hey everyone, we’re moving locations. We will be at 86 East 10th Street until the end of October so come get your last drinks here while you can and we’ll see you in our new location in 2021! We will be doing very limited indoor seating for the next month so dm us here if you want to make a reservation. Hope to see you all! Cheers!

Black & White reopened in early May for take-home drinks then limited curbside seating later.
