East Village Flea happening TODAY

Given the very likely chance of a bonkers storm yesterday afternoon, the organizers of the ongoing East Village Flea decided to postpone yesterday's event until today. 

So! 

The flea marketing will be taking place today (Sunday!) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the east side of First Street and First Avenue. (And they are back this coming Saturday as well.)

Nexus Flea returns tomorrow in a new (nearby) location

The next East Village Flea (aka Nexus Flea) happens tomorrow (Saturday!) — in a new location! Actually, two locations: The more than 20 local artists and merchants will be selling their wares from the northwest and southeast corners of First Avenue at Second Street.

Organizers said that the Parks Department will no longer let them hold the event on First Street and First Avenue at Peretz Square ... and their request for a permit was denied.

The flea market started on April 3 this year (relive that one here!) ... and they're running every other Saturday for now from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The next East Village Flea (aka Nexus Flea) happens tomorrow (Saturday!) on First Street and First Avenue (Peretz Square) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Details about a day of 'Free Fashion' tomorrow

The folks behind the Lexus Flea are hosting a clothing swap tomorrow (Saturday!) afternoon at Lucky, the bar at 168 Avenue B between 10th Street and 11th Street.

It's being billed as "a day of free fashion." Drop some clothes off, and take some with you. There is a one-drink minimum at the bar.
