Vote or...

As a reminder, the early voting period runs though Sunday.

The hours:
  • Friday, Oct. 30 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 31 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 1 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Our local polling location, where Son of 7th took the above photo, is at Campos Plaza Community Center on 13th Street between Avenue B and Avenue C. We heard that there was a minimum wait today... and if anyone else wants to chime in about their early-voting experience in the comments...

The early voting period starts TODAY!

Starting TODAY (Saturday!), polls in New York City will be open through Nov. 1 for early voting. Officials have said that voters will find plexiglass dividers, hand sanitizer and social distancing at polling locations.

Visit the Board of Elections website to find your location and the hours, which vary by day.

Meanwhile, you may request an absentee ballot until Oct. 27 via this link. Your absentee ballot must be postmarked by Nov. 3 (2020!), and received no later than Nov. 10 (2020!).

Monday's parting shot

The co-owner of Ibiza (and the landlord of the building) added some JFK memorabilia to the front window here at 321 E. Ninth St. between First Avenue and Second Avenue... we're told he had this in the basement since the 1960s...

The New York Philharmonic Bandwagon will be pulling up to Astor Place today

The New York Philharmonic Bandwagon will be on Astor Place today (Saturday!) as part of a Get Out the Vote event with Joe's Pub.

In addition to a "pull-up" performance by members of the Orchestra and special guests, a volunteer from the League of Women’s Voters of New York will be onhand to sign people up to vote and to answer any questions about voting.

The festivities begin around noon-ish. Visit this link for a rundown on today's program, which includes a "West Side Story" suite.

The New York Philharmonic launched this drive-up series on weekends in late August.
