Mini Thai Cafe and Avenue A Sushi are closed tonight on Avenue A between Sixth Street and Seventh Street... What gives?

Hasn't Mini Thai been off & on for a while? I remember walking by there & the gates were up but all of the chairs were still on the tables, etc... Odd!
Hey EV Eats. Not sure about Mini Thai. Recall that they were open last weekend. They always seem to do a better business via delivery. Obviously not a good sign being closed on a Friday night. And if business is OK, why not leave a note? "Dear Mini Thai fans. We are closed tonight because we ran out of spring rolls." Or something.
Hey Creature. Water issue seems very reasonable. Still, wouldn't you put up a sign telling potential diners that? So some blogger doesn't start speculating? (Oops!)

Noticed this, too, around 10:30-ish.
Never seen Ave A Sushi with the gate down that early.
I took this shot around 9 p.m.
Saw this too (and probably walked right past you around that time). With both places closed I thought maybe a water/hot water issue for the building.
