The early and late lap swims (8-9 a.m. and 7-8 p.m.) at Hamilton Fish Pool will begin in a few weeks, the Lo-Down noted yesterday.
And no word just yet when you can swim in a floating pool in the East River.

HATE that Tompkins pool, it always overflows on the weekends and floods the basketball court, killing the games. Hoop Problems
Not sure if 4:47 is serious or tongue in cheek. If serious, what a deep loser to begrudge kids playing in a pool in summertime because you get your feet wet playing basketball; may I suggest a JOB perhaps.

Dry Dock Pool is literally two blocks away, the giant petri dish know as TSP pool should have been torn down years ago.
I'm amazed it hasn't been classified a bio hazard site.
7:51, I played ball on that court practically every summer day for over a decade, and never saw that happen ever. The fattest kid doing a cannonball from the top of the backboard into the pool would not produce enough of a splash to interrupt a game, although there might be a delay while players waited for the backboard to stop swaying back and forth.
