Seat saved for Merrick Garland on Astor Place

Tonight at 8, President Trump is expected to reveal his nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, earlier today... this sign went up in the seating area outside 51 Astor Place/the IBM Watson Building/Death Star...

EVG reader Rosemary shared these photos... showing reserved seating for Merrick Garland, the Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit...part of a broader #SaveMerrickASeat campaign...

President Obama nominated Garland to the Supreme Court last March to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia. However, Garland never had a confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

As of this evening his seat remained here...

Why do Democrats keep living in the past? Because they cannot see the future.

No one is stopping you from donating more of what they haven't already taken away from you if you think it's the right thing to do.

Democrats living in the past? Try Republicans living in the past by wanting to take away afforable healthcare which works and a woman's right to choose.

YOUR party not only can't see the future, it won't.

Name me ONE thing the Republicans accomplished under Obama other than obstructing him at every turn? I need a laugh.

Again, what old NYHC dude are you?

There have been 8 Supreme Court nominees voted down or prevented from proceeding by the senate in the past 50 years. Until Garland, every one was blocked by democrats. All told, 7 of those 8 were republican nominees blocked by democratic controlled senates. The world survived each of those. We will move on.

Who is taking away a woman's right to choose? No one.
This is ridiculous.
over and out EVG - I can't take how you focus completely on any and all anti trump stories. Its your choice, your site. I just find it irritating enough to not click on anymore.
