Your Rite Aid on 1st Avenue signage update

As a follow-up to Wednesday's post on the disappearing signage at the Rite Aid on First Avenue and Fifth Street...

EVG contributor Stacie Joy was at the store yesterday: "Crew reports new lettering and signage (to reflect new colors, font, etc.) should be up next week. They told me they have no plans to close, that all Rite Aids are being rebranded."
Workers smoothed over the marquee to make way for the new brandage/signage... which will look like this...
And there's a sneak preview up now (thanks Goggla!)...

The placement of the logo makes it look like they have changed the name to Vrite Aid or Write Aid.

Speaking of Whole Foods, I was in the 14th street location on Saturday evening and people are already acting as the pandemic is over. The store was packed, the checkout line ran all the way through the hot food section and back to the bakery, and there was no bouncer/security guard limiting capacity at the front door. The vaccine has given people the illusion this thing is over, but look at Europe right now: they are going back onto lockdowns all over again, and their ICUs are filling up. Stay safe out there.

Next up for improvements: their ridiculously sensitive self checkout scanners hehe
