Crossing Second Avenue at St. Mark's Place early this evening... no sign of Second or Third Avenue on the DOT's Weekly Resurfacing Schedule (crews milled the avenues the week of Sept. 16).
Vehicles are currently parked where the bike lanes were (despite notices not to park there) on Second Avenue. The bike lanes will return with the resurfacing...

This rough surface makes it difficult for people with disabilities (with walkers, wheelchairs) and the elderly (from the Green Residence) to cross. What's the hold up on finishing the job? Oh right, it's the NYC DOT.

I mean, obviously cars are gonna park on the side of the road. There are no markings on the ground showing lanes. Not like anyone biking on that shit anyway.
