Rothberg and her current band, the Patti Rothberg Coincidence, will perform the album in full. The group has also released a new live album, Live at the Parkside Lounge.
Originally released in 1996 on EMI, Between the 1 and the 9 landed on the Billboard and UK charts. The single "Inside" reached No. 32 on the Billboard Pop chart.
Rothberg wrote and performed nearly all the material on the album, which took its name from her subway busking days before being signed.

Patti Rothberg is an NYC indy rock treasure! She played guitar, bass, and wrote and sang all the songs on her first album "Between The 1 And The 9". An amazing talent, her songwriting is full of catchy hooks and clever lyrics. And I love her funny stage patter with the audience, her amazing voice, and serious guitar chops. I am a fan of Patti Rothberg ... full stop! Her band The Patti Rothberg Coincidence is top notch and always fun to see and hear... Patti writes great songs, has a rocking voice and plays killer Guitar.... our Band, Density Black Cat, plays often with Patti' posse including vocalist Sue Lashley keeping the New york Rock and Roll fires burning red hot!!! Patti is also a very good artist and was commissioned to paint her artwork on our band Jackets!!! Patti is a Tornado of Talent and is our friend!!!
