You can find items from Dress Shoppe II this summer at A Repeat Performance on 3rd Street

A Repeat Performance, the pop-up market extravaganza at the 3rd and B'Zaar space, has been extended through the summer.

The shop was set to close on Sunday after a three-plus-month run ... but the sales will continue here at 191 E. Third St. between Avenue A and Avenue B through Aug. 28.

And the new crop of vendors, designers and artists will feature a familiar name starting today. Saroj Goya, who ran the recently closed Dress Shoppe II at 83 Second Ave. for more than 20 years with her late husband, will be selling her vintage Indian fabrics and clothing from the space for the summer. (You can read this post for more about the closing of Dress Shoppe II. Sales also continue at Etsy.)

Here are some of the items via Dress Shoppe II...
"We feel so lucky to have The Dress Shoppe II as part of 3rd & B'zaar's A Repeat Performance market and are happy to have them back home in the East Village," said 3rd & B co-founder Maegan Hayward.

Hours here are 1-7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Check out the 3rd and B'Zaar Instagram account for updates and features on the participating vendors.

A Repeat Performance, the bric-a-brac shop at 156 First Ave., closed in July 2019 after 39 years in business. The sign became available ... and the folks at East Village Vintage Collective on 12th Street became the proud new owners. (Maegan Hayward is an EVVC co-owner.)

Meanwhile, have a great holiday season...

Second time around: A Repeat Performance pops up at 3rd and B'Zaar

A Repeat Performance, featuring the work of 30 local designers, vintage vendors and artists, is the latest pop-up market extravaganza for the 3rd and B'Zaar space at 191 E. Third St. between Avenue A and Avenue B.

Here's more about the concept this time around (and in case that signage looks familiar!):
A Repeat Performance Market is a tribute to the past days of the East Village that we cherish so much: the artists, creatives and small business owners that made this neighborhood what it is.

The sign in our window used to proudly hang on 1st Ave at the shop A Repeat Performance which was open for over 30 years. Sadly, this shop and many other East Village classics have shut their doors for one reason or another.

3rd & B’zaar strives to bring support to small businesses like these that need a fresh start or are just getting started by offering space in a brick and mortar shop at an affordable rent.
A Repeat Performance, the bric-a-brac shop at 156 First Ave., closed in July 2019 after 39 years in business. The sign became available ... and the fine folks at East Village Vintage Collective on 12th Street became the proud new owners. (EVVC co-owner Maegan Hayward is a founder of 3rd and B'Zaar.)

The market is open through May 29... with hours of 1-7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Check out the 3rd and B'Zaar Instagram account for updates and features on the participating vendors.

A night (on Thursday!) of live music and art at 3rd & B'zaar

The next holiday market at 3rd & B'zaar starts on Nov. 26... ahead of that, expect to find more one-off events... Such as!

On Thursday evening from 7-9, EV-based artist/musician Alex Carpenter is headlining a night of art and music in the space at 191 E. Third St. between Avenue A and Avenue B.

Carpenter will be showcasing new video works as part of his performance, and will also be officially launching his new release "Chord From the Second Delphic Hymn."

Other art and artists will be part of the show, including dancer Elayna Lopez...
