Perhaps you saw this traveling billboard today... Vinny & O spotted it at First Avenue and 14th Street ... and caught up to it on 23rd Street...

Staten Island artist Scott LoBaido drove his Trump 2020 billboard around the city today.

And the reaction? Per SILive:

“It’s been a hell of a ride so far actually … no violence,” LoBaido said. “One person threw a plate of food on [Trump], but I have a power washer and a mop just in case people throw eggs or whatever.”

LoBaido said he received the worst feedback from folks on the Lower East Side and students from New York University.

“I’m just expressing myself, art is to provoke emotion and I know how to do that,” he said.

At the You Can't Fire the Truth rally in support of protecting the Mueller investigation

Thousands of people converged on Times Square last evening at 5 in a rapid-response rally — one of many nationwide — following President Trump's firing of Jeff Sessions on Wednesday and appointment of loyalist Matt Whitaker as Acting Attorney General.

The demonstrators gathered and marched to show support for special counsel Robert Mueller's ongoing investigation into possible collusion between Trump's 2016 campaign and the Kremlin.

EVG contributor Dan Efram shared these photos...starting in Times Square ... and then from along Broadway as the peaceful protestors headed south to Union Square...

Report: Michael Cohen sells stake in Avenue D building

[133 Avenue D via Streeteasy]

Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal attorney and fixer who pleaded guilty to eight criminal counts in federal court on Tuesday, has reportedly sold stakes in two buildings, including one on Avenue D.

According to The Real Deal, Cohen sold four stakes to Vintage Group, his joint venture partner in the ownership of 133 Avenue D, for $4 million.

Back in April, Bloomberg reported that 133 Avenue D, which is between Ninth Street and 10th Street, had at least $5 million of equity not tapped by a mortgage.

Cohen and Vintage Group bought No. 133 — which has 20 apartments as well as two retail spaces — for $10.5 million in 2015. Per TRD: "It’s not clear what percentage of it Cohen owned and how much the value has changed overtime."

Streeteasy lists one unit available for rent in the building — a recently renovated three-bedroom apartment with an ask of $3,195 per month.

On Tuesday, Cohen pleaded guilty to eight counts related to tax fraud, excessive campaign contributions, making false statements to a financial institution and unlawful corporate contributions.

City removing the Trump-related 'Business As Usual' sculpture from 10th and B

A city worker this morning was attempting to remove the sculpture that arrived on 10th Street at Avenue B back on July 3.

This (coincidentally?) marks the second piece of Trump-related art that the city has removed in the past 24 hours from East Village streets/sidewalks.

City sets record for filling pothole; removes Donald Trump mosaic on 2nd Street

Chicago-based artist Jim Bachor filled several NYC potholes with mosaic art this past week... including one of President Trump on Second Street between Avenue A and First Avenue, as we noted Wednesday.

When asked about the work, DOT officials weren't amused, and vowed to pave over the mosaics, the Post reported on Wednesday.

And yesterday, the city made good on that promise, removing the work on Second Street...

The speed at which the city responded took Bachor by surprised. He posted on Twitter: "Damn that was fast."

One Twitter user noted that this pothole, adjacent to a fire hydrant, likely never would have been filled by the city otherwise.

A mosaic Trump pothole-filler for 2nd Street

A Chicago-based artist who fills the city's potholes with mosaic art has brought his work to NYC.

Jim Bachor has adorned eight potholes around the city with tiled images of dead rats, cockroaches and pigeons, as the Post reported today.

However, in the East Village, his pothole filler on Second Street between Avenue A and First Avenue is of President Trump...

He told the Post: "It could be seen in both ways — one that you’re honoring our president or that you get to drive over Trump."

City officials see it as a nuisance, and will pave them over once discovered.

"Aside from putting himself in harm’s way in the middle of roadways, the artist’s adding of artwork in the street is a danger to all road users, which poses safety hazards should drivers become distracted by the art," said spokeswoman Alana Morales.
