Was this pigeon murdered in Tompkins Square Park?
EV Grieve contributor Bobby Williams sends along these photos from the Park yesterday...
As he notes: "Looks like this guy was hit with ice balls. Chunks around him seem to suggest that."

The Pigeon Lady proving more elusive than originally thought!
A reader snapped this shot on Avenue A near Ninth Street earlier today... just missing the notorious Pigeon Lady, though in time for the aftermath...

On the trail of the Pigeon Lady
As we've noted, someone — dubbed with some affection, "the Pigeon Lady" — continues to drop about 50 pounds of bread a few times a day at the entrance to Tompkins Square Park at Ninth Street and Avenue A ...
This morning, a reader notes the aftermath of a recent bread dump...

Capturing the Pigeon Lady
A reader notes that someone has been laying down feed for the pigeons multiple times a day at the entrance to Tompkins Square Park at Ninth Street and Avenue A.... and the number of pigeons has been growing ...
So, yesterday, in the aftermath of the blizzard of the century, the reader finally caught the pigeon feeder in the act. She empties out huge bags of (what look like) bread crumbs, multiple times every day. Who is she? And why does she revel in unleashing the pigeon apocalypse?
So!
The harbinger in action...
Observing her evil handiwork before departing (from behind the light pole)...
...the aftermath....

Everyone seems to be shitting on the financial-services sector these days
The pigeons like to roost on the fire escape above the Franklin Check Cashing Store on Avenue B near 14th Street.

Bird watching
As mentioned in the previous post, we paid a visit to our old neighborhood the other day. (We're acting as if we had moved to Maine...we're just up the street, but we don't come down here that often anymore.) New restuarants/bars and million-dollar condos aside, I was happy to see the fellow with the rooftop pigeon coop was still there.
