Former Starbucks no longer shilling vodka

Curbed noted at the end of the year that the former Starbucks in the now-former Cooper Union was advertising for vodka...

...and now the ads are gone...(and were they even legal?) And does this signal that something is about to happen to the space?

Gentlemen, this is a post about the Gentlemen, this is vodka ad

The one at Sixth Street at Avenue A. Gone!

And now we look back fondly at the most pretentious of ads that graced Avenue A... with a subtle juxtaposition next to the sanitation truck....

Previously on EV Grieve:
Gentlemen, this is a headline

Hmm. Hard to read... it's sponsored by "a very popular very smooth vodka." Spotted at 10th Street and Third Avenue.

Gentlemen, this is a headline

Haven't seen an ad here since "King of the Hill" graced our presence last December. And ad returns to the northwest corner of Sixth Street and Avenue A. And it's a douchey doozy.

Please expect "Gentlemen, this is..." jokes the entire summer. I've already incorporated the saying in random conversations, like the other day at Mamoun's: "Gentlemen, this is Baba Ghannouj."
