The actor has worked with directors such as Abel Ferrara, Martin Scorsese, Kathryn Bigelow, David Lynch, Paul Schrader, Lars von Trier, John Waters, Wim Wenders, David Cronenberg, Sam Raimi, Wes Anderson, Spike Lee, Werner Herzog, and Sean Baker, among many others.
The expansive "Wild at Heart: Willem Dafoe" series will feature several of these collaborations. The series runs from Feb. 7 to 26, and Dafoe will appear for a Q&A following a few screenings. (And both "Wild at Heart" screenings are already sold out.)

Does he still live in the West Village?
He does! I saw him at the Abington Sq Farmers Market today. One of the vendors recognized him from Spiderman and he obliged taking a picture with him. I believe he splits his time between here and Rome.
Must have been more than 30 years ago and he was already a “star”. I was flying from NYC to LA and there he was, in coach with the rest of us. For whatever reason. Guessing he could have pulled rank and scored something more comfortable. He gave a nod and a smile to anyone who recognized him and said hi. Pre-selfies thank goodness.
