As seen early this morning on Astor Place — a clean-up crew wiping off the "No Men" stencils left by an artist and activist on the Keith Haring sculpture.
And a**holes who vandalize public art, amenities, etc. for whatever cause they are advocating for is why we don’t have enough nice things in this city.
Corporate art on one hand but still Haring, a local artist. Worth mentioning, I miss the days when taggers would not tag good graffiti in the neighborhood like they did with ROA's large rat that was on the side of a stoop to the east of Albert's Garden on Second Street for years. Then it was finally tagged repeatedly and eventually removed.

I have no problem with corporate "art" getting messed with. They take our land and give us a bad, safe pieces of art in place of housing.
Not to mention if anything it probably pushes more people away from whatever cause your supporting than brings in
Is this a riff on Al Bundy's NO MA'AM? ;)
