Dec. 24

After standing tall in his apartment for the past 365 days, EVG reader Tom reports that he decided to discard his 2024 Christmas tree today.

Oh, and he does have a new tree, which he found left on the sidewalk on 14th Street two days ago.

Here's the old tree meeting the new tree.

Dec. 10

An EVG reader shared this from Third Street between Avenue A and Avenue B... At this point, why not just keep it for a few more weeks? Maybe spraypaint it green and have a fire extinguisher nearby...

2 for Tuesday

'Tis the season... for tree tossing.

As seen today on Third Street between Avenue A and Avenue B, a two-fer. (Thanks, Joseph Borduin, for the photo.)

And EV Arrow assisted with pointing out the second tree...
These are likely not leftovers from last year ... and were discarded by someone who wanted a tree this Christmas but was leaving town before the big day.

Christmas Eve's parting shot

Amanda from Stuytown shared this photo of a sad-looking tree today... and asked: "This year's tree gone wrong? Last year's? 1987?"

Dec. 9

From Third Street just west of Avenue B. Concerned Citizen asks, Too soon? (Or maybe too late?)

Anyway, let's just get Christmas over with. Don't forget to watch the New Year's Eve ball drop next Saturday, Dec. 16!

Dec. 18

One week before Christmas is a good time to discard last year's tree (or, by the look of things, the tree from 2014)...

Bonus: The lights and stand are intact...

Avenue A and Fourth Street if you want to save your money from buying a fresh tree this season. This one is ready to go.
