After standing tall in his apartment for the past 365 days, EVG reader Tom reports that he decided to discard his 2024 Christmas tree today. 

Oh, and he does have a new tree, which he found left on the sidewalk on 14th Street two days ago.

An EVG reader shared this from Third Street between Avenue A and Avenue B... At this point, why not just keep it for a few more weeks? Maybe spraypaint it green and have a fire extinguisher nearby...

A Stuy Town sighting yesterday near the First Avenue loop... from a distance, it looks a little like someone dressed in a discarded Christmas Tree outfit...

'Tis the season... for tree tossing. 

As seen today on Third Street between Avenue A and Avenue B, a two-fer. (Thanks, Joseph Borduin, for the photo.)

These are likely not leftovers from last year ... and were discarded by someone who wanted a tree this Christmas but was leaving town before the big day.

The rainy Memorial Day must have prompted some spring cleaning... above, someone hastily tried to hide the evidence of a Christmas tree, stripping its branches and stuffing the remains into a box on 13th Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue. (Thanks for the pic, Liberation!) 

Meanwhile, someone attempted to dock this discarded (and surprisingly fresh) tree on the NE corner of Sixth Street and Second Avenue (thanks to the reader for this tip!)...
