Scenes from the 2025 Anarchist Bookfair at La Plaza Cultural

Yesterday marked the 19th annual Anarchist Bookfair at La Plaza Cultural, the community space on the SW corner of Avenue C and Ninth Street. 

A lot of people turned out to browse the tables full of zines, books, literature, art and merch.

About the NYC Anarchist Bookfair, taking place tomorrow in La Plaza Cultural

The annual Anarchist Bookfair takes place tomorrow (Sept. 13) from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.at La Plaza Cultural on the southwest corner of Ninth Street and Avenue C.

The day includes events held at other East Village community gardens. More info at this link

Tomorrow evening, there's the Emma Goldman Film Festival in Tompkins Square Park with several features plus a live slide concert by local artist-illustrator Eric Drooker... find more details here

In addition, there's a companion show titled "Reading from Left to Left: Radical Bookstores in NYC, from 1930s to 2000s" at the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space/C-Squat on Avenue C.
Viewing hours include:
• Saturday - 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
• Sunday - 2-6 p.m. 
• Sept. 20 — 2:30-4 p.m. 
• Sept. 21 - 2:30-4 p.m. 
• Sept. 28 - 2-6 p.m. 

You can access the free show via MoRUS, 155 Avenue C between Ninth Street and 10th Street.

The NYC Anarchist Bookfair is tomorrow (Saturday) in La Plaza Cultural

The 16th annual Anarchist Bookfair takes place tomorrow (Sept. 10) at La Plaza Cultural on the southwest corner of Ninth Street and Avenue C. 

According to organizers, the concept of this year’s bookfair is Direct Action. (Read more on this here.)

The day here begins at 11:30 a.m. ... and includes events in conjunction with the MoRUS 10th-anniversary celebration.

About the 15th Anarchist Bookfair tomorrow at La Plaza Cultural

The 15th Anarchist Bookfair takes place tomorrow (Oct. 2) at La Plaza Cultural on the southwest corner of Ninth Street and Avenue C. 

Per the organizers: "The theme of this year's book fair is Mutual Aid and Zero-Money Living. Come browse through a wide selection of zines and books..." 

The Bookfair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Find more details here

Reminders: 7th annual NYC Anarchist Book Fair is this weekend



Book Fair begins at 10 a.m. tomorrow and Sunday... until 9 p.m. or so. At the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, 107 Suffolk St. Find more info here.

The Anarchist Film Festival will be held at the Cultural Center from 5-10 p.m. tomorrow. You can view the Film Fest info here.
