Some sprkl for Gem Spa
East Village-based musician-artist Paul Kostabi has added his signature character Sprkl characters on the gates at Gem Spa...
Gem Spa is the latest Second Avenue business to get some sprkl ... joining Block Drugs and Cacio e Vino.
As for Gem Spa, the Schitibank signage that arrived ahead of last Saturday's cash mob will remain up here at St. Mark's Place until the end of the month, per Jeremiah Moss.

Block Drug Stores starting to sprkl
Yesterday, local musician-artist Paul Kostabi drew his signature character sprkl on the side gate at Block Drug Stores on Second Avenue at East Sixth Street...
Block is now the third Second Avenue business to add some sprkl to their gates ... joining Ballaro and Cacio e Vino...

Earlier today, local musician-artist-locksmith Paul Kostabi created these new sprkl-infused murals for the gates outside the 12CGallery on Avenue C at East 12th Street...

Brooklyn-based illustrator/painter Tatyana Fazlalizadeh created a new mural last Saturday on the East 12th Street side.
(And because someone will bring it up: There were reports of gunshots at this intersection on Tuesday.)

Last day to take in 'A Murder of Crows'

Today is the last day to check out local musician-artist Paul Kostabi's mural titled "A Murder of Crows" outside Ideal Glass on East Second Street.
The month-long run is ending ... as new work will be going up tomorrow here outside the gallery between the Bowery and Second Avenue...
You can still find Kostabi's work on two roll-down gates along Second Avenue … here … and here.

'A Murder of Crows' on East 2nd Street
Yesterday afternoon, local musician-artist-snowball-dodger Paul Kostabi started work on a new mural at Ideal Glass on East Second Street ...
… and he returned today to put the finishing touches on what he is calling "A Murder of Crows."
Back in May, Kostabi created murals on two roll-down gates along Second Avenue … here … and here.

Even more sprkl for Second Avenue
A few weeks ago, local musician-artist-folk hero Paul Kostabi added his character sprkl to the roll-down gate at Cacio e Vino, 80 Second Ave. between East Fifth Street and East Fourth Street.
On Thursday night, he started work on the gate at Ballaro across the Avenue…
The evening included a visit from producer-label owner-musician Walter Schreifels (Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today…)
Paul finished the work late last night …
