Urban Etiquette Sign already needed for brand-new rental
Apartments in the freshly renovated 325 E. 10th St. hit the market several weeks ago.... Several units remain on the market, as the stickers on the front door note...
...others have been rented....
...and, already, there's need for Urban Etiquette Signs for the new tenants...
Might need some more notes once the whole building is rented.

Epic note puts 440 E. Ninth St. on notice
Here's what it says:
"To those of you who disrespectfully leave your trash, broken glass and empty bottles on the roof, you are being monitored. Your cans clogged a drain which flooded the apartments next door during last week's rain. You are disgusting to let Jose and the other super clean up after your messes. Surrounding neighbors are complaining about you every week and are ready to comply with management and law enforcement and photograph you during your next rooftop excursion. Since you can not the enjoy the roof like respectable adults, we request that you stay off of it. Your skateboards are ruining the rooftop material, weakening it."
Stay off the roof or suffer consequences.
— Management, tenants.
Given the "fuck you all" written over the note, I'm guessing 440 hasn't seen the last of the rooftop skateboarding bashes.

Tom & Jerry's makeshift boundary
Last month I pointed out a sign spotted outside Tom & Jerry's on Elizabeth Street...
Now the bar has set up a makeshift boundary to keep people away from the front of the door and the adjacent apartment entrance...

A note for the people on the terrace tossing sandals and doing things that "should be done in private"
Noticed a sign on door yesterday morning for residents of 151 E. Third St. at Avenue A.
And what did it say?

Crime stoppers
Last week, BoweryBoogie reported on the NYPD alerts telling of an increase in residential burglaries in the LES of late. I've noticed a few of these fliers myself closer to home...

Wedding notes
There was a wedding celebration behind 206 Avenue B on Saturday evening. And the couple-to-be were kind enough to leave notes about it on surrounding apartment buildings. They explained why the celebration was at 206 Avenue B: "We met there exactly four years ago so we decided to have this special day there."
Plus...
"Please be understanding in case it gets a little late and loud (but please know that there will be a lot of older people and kids so it won’t be a crazy party)."
Feel free to contact us in person if you have any concerns…"

Don't mess with Mr. G
Been a little slack. On my to-do list since, uh, last summer...join Jeremiah's Urban Etiquette Signs pool at Flickr. Anyway, here are a few candidates from making the rounds in recent months...
