This happened last evening (video clip here) ... not sure of the why at the moment... NYFW?

Mid-afternoon mannequin break

As seen outside the now-closed Himalayan Vision at 127 Second Ave. between Seventh Street and St. Mark's Place.

As of about 3:30 p.m. today, there were a few discarded mannequins left, but people were quickly scooping up the various parts. 💖💖💖

The East 10th Street Block Party is today (Saturday!)

The 45th annual... between Second Avenue and Third Avenue. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

You can usually find some good stuff for sale at the various stoop/table sales... though things were still being assembled when I walked through earlier this morning...

Earlier today on Avenue A and East Seventh Street...

... then a little later...

Previously on EV Grieve:
And we can build this thing together, stand in stone forever, nothing's gonna stop us now

As always, headline inspiration here.
