However, there's already a new G&G-related suitor for the space at 620 E. Sixth St. between Avenue B and Avenue C.
Ownership of the wine bar made the announcement on Instagram yesterday:
We've loved every minute of being part of this community and we've been very fortunate to have met so many amazing people along the way. We're very proud of what we've built here over the years, and it’s hard to say goodbye! But, it is time to move on. ...We’re excited to say that we are keeping the space in the family, and we can't wait to share with you what's next for you on 6th St. Keep an ear out!
The OG G&G closed in the fall of 2017 after 12 years in service... then, in June 2018, new owners took over and kept the name.
Grape and Grain is open from 5-10 p.m.

The OG owners and staff were wonderful, have fond memories of lovely evenings there. Never been to the new incarnation.
That was a nice place, best wishes for what's next.
OG GAG shortened my life by at least 1-5 years with their generous wine pours. We spent all important birthdays and every notable occasion for years there with the wonderful staff. Shoutout to Josh, Katelyn, Chef Bobby, Nate, Brian and all those I've forgotten to name THANK YOU!
Nice people, great food and vibe, tough block. Curious to what the next thing is!
It's depressing so many independent shops closing on the LES. The city needs to remember that empty store fronts mean less foot traffic and more crime. Time for the Adam's Administration to step up and come up with a plan to support small merchants.
Sorry to hear, these people were great neighbors and will be terrible missed
