Maybe finally the Landmark Preservation Commission will live up to their name (as in PRESERVATION) and not allow any developer to build in the lot next to the Merchants House Museum. Studies by experts show that any commercial construction will ultimately cause irreparable damage to this fragile structure and cause its demise. This building is a national treasure.
