Pinks moves on from 10th Street

Top photo by Lola Sáenz; 2nd pic by Steven

After nearly 10 years at 242 E. 10th St. west of First Avenue, Pinks has shut down following service this past Saturday night. (You can read their statement via Instagram below.)

Yesterday, workers were cleaning out the space... and in a classy touch, the owners of Pinks also removed their curbside dining structure before moving on ...
Pinks made headlines in the fall of 2018 after the city started parking garbage trucks right in front of their establishment. They responded by hosting a "Trash Bash" party. (Relive the memories here.)

Meanwhile, Pinks Cantina will continue at 203 Chrystie St. ... as well as their catering business. Ownership also has plans for a new LES outpost next year...

Pinks Cantina bringing the tacos to Webster Hall

Pinks Cantina is teaming up with Webster Hall to serve food during concerts and club nights starting on Tuesday.

Pinks Cantina, which started at the Bowery Market in 2018, has an outpost on the Lower East Side at 203 Chrystie St. that serves a variety of tacos and sides. (Find their menu here.)

The taco shop is an extension of Pinks Bar & Grill, which opened in the fall of 2014 on 10th Street near First Avenue.

The revamped Webster Hall, now owned and operated by BSE Global and The Bowery Presents, reopened last April with Jay-Z over on 11th Street between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue.

Pinks Cantina opening in the Bowery Market

Pinks Cantina will be the latest vendor to join the Bowery Market, the year-round open-air food court at 348 Bowery and Great Jones.

The taco shop is an extension of Pinks Bar & Grill, which opened in the fall of 2014 on 10th Street near First Avenue.

The Cantina is taking over the space last held by Dosa Royale, which lasted less than a year here.

The Market launched in July 2016 with five vendors. Alidoro, the only original tenant, recently vacated its space (as did Oaxaca Comida Calle). The remaining vendors are Sushi on Jones, Fruitsand and L’Arte del Gelato.

Pinks Cantina had been planning on opening a taco shop on Chrystie Street last fall. Not sure what the status is of that location at the moment.
