Well then! EVG reader Riley McCormick spotted this brand-new signage today in the long-tempty corner space on Avenue A and East Fifth Street.
Likely just an alleged wacky ad for the Bartrendr app.
Still, the sign gives you pregnant pause.
Updated
Here's a longer view of the corner... Gestations!
And for added impact — a State Liquor Authority notice...
We'll reach out to the broker for more info on the space... The ads originally stated no bars or restaurants, per the landlord's wishes...
There is also a Facebook page...

Man new to area looking for a friend via flyers
@CuriousJLuis spotted this flyer yesterday on East Sixth Street near Avenue A.
Say hello to Charles.
According to the flyer:
"I'm sick and tired of this. I just want a friend.
No, not even that. Just someone who can tolerate me for 10 minutes."
I just moved into the area on 6th and A.
I'll be around the neighborhood, but I work a really demanding job as a consultant, so I won't always be available. Weekends work best if you put it on my calendar.
If you see me, please, just say hi."
We don't know if this is a gag of some kind … or a legitimate attempt to make some friends. (There isn't any contact info here.) Someone who looked like Charles was spotted hanging the flyer.

An EVG reader spotted the above flyer on East Sixth Street between Avenue B and Avenue C ...
For "no charge," the the videographer will "help you make a short video to relay your message." Examples listed include "You need to level with your parents about something. You need to tell your buddy his breath stinks. Maybe you've loved someone for a long time in secret?"
Also, helpfully — "This is not a joke."

The 'stop the rooftop noise' signs return on East 10th Street
The signs returned here along East 10th Street between Fourth Avenue and Third Avenue this past weekend ... in several shapes and sizes...
We last spotted this flyer/sticker campaign in April (read that post here) ... as far as we know, the signs date back to June 2010 ... so we can celebrate four years of rooftop noise here then.

A warning about (or for?) dog nappers
EVG reader Melissa Elledge spotted this warning sign on East Eighth Street and Avenue B.
Has there been an outbreak of dog thefts of late?

Talk about 'ghost' signage!
Have you looked at the claims on this "office space for lease" sign that recently went up at 92 St. Mark's Place just east of First Avenue?
• "Real see-thru windows!"
• "Dry!"
• "Real walls!"
• "Three doors!!" (Why does this get two exclamation points?)
And the best:
• "No ghosts!"
So there's likely no chance that bodies will come bursting up in this space, FYI.
