Spotted on Sixth Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue... hiding the Christmas tree with the recyclables ... thanks to Riian Kant-McCormick for the photo! (And thanks to everyone else who pointed this one out, including Sally Long Dog!)

JUST four months from today to Christmas... apparently someone couldn't wait the rest of summer and fall, and decided to dump his or her tree from, presumably, 2018 outside the Starbucks on First Avenue at Third Street.

Thanks to Suke Born Loose for the photo!

Summertime snow job

In the 568 posts the past few days about crews filming the Amazon series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" on St. Mark's Place, we've seen the crew set up a Christmas tree stand and reindeer ... not to mention bring in cars that fit the dramedy's 1958 setting... so we'll wrap it up with a photo from last night when it all came to life in front of the cameras between Avenue A and First Avenue — complete with fake snow...

Thanks to @jaclynstagrams for the above photo!

Meanwhile, on the most humid day of summer, Christmas comes to St. Mark's Place

Film crews for the Amazon series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" beat the Astor Place Kmart to setting up a Christmas display... crews are on St. Mark's Place between Avenue A and First Avenue prepping for scenes for the dramedy set in 1958.

The scene provided a WTF moment for EVG regular Jose Garcia, who shared these photos...

@DukeToddIsAlive spotted this lovely late last night/early this morning on Seventh Street between Second Avenue and Cooper Square...

Given the possible record-setting status, a team was quickly mobilized to the area for further authentication and documentation purposes... but they weren't in time...

Until this matter is settled, we're asking the city not to accept any more deliveries to the Sims Municipal Recycling Facility in Brooklyn until November. So just don't throw anything away for awhile. Thanks!

An EVG reader shared this photo from today on Seventh Street... the reader said that he woke up to "what sounds like someone struggling to pull a bag of trash down the stairs" in the apartment building. Turns out someone simply decided that it was time to discard the holiday tree...though falling short of the tree-tossing record by several weeks.

Someone obviously attempted to steal the thunder away from National Watermelon Day today by discarding a pretty sweet fake holiday tree on East 12th Street near Second Avenue...

An EVG reader spotted this beaut in a trash can on East Seventh Street at Cooper Square… as for the strict authentication requirement, the reader points to the time stamp and date (today!) on his or her phone… (and the arrow in case you are wondering what we are looking at here…)

Wow. The summer seems to be going by so quickly! So much left to do on your to-do list! Like, take the Christmas tree down to the curb.

Holiday tree on East 13th Street; angels we have heard on high?

EVG reader Kim sent this along earlier today from East 13th Street... We are usually old-fashioned and ask for a newspaper for authentication purposes (at least an iPad edition). But! In the absence of a newspaper... a Peridance schedule will do...

Breaking: Christmas in August; O Come, All Ye Faithful

EVG reader Rob just sent this along from First Avenue near East Third Street... no newspaper for authentication purposes... (So the judges will deduct a few points off for that...) Still.

And, so last night, Dave on 7th found this waiting for him near his apartment on Seventh Street... He only had the Sunday Times for authentication purposes.

And! There is still a tree tag attached, confirming it's seasonal origination.

This most certainly has to be the winner? Of course, it's not up to us to decide.

So we sent the photos and interview request to Gruber MacDougal, spokesperson for the International Coalition of Tree Tossing in the Spring and Summer (ICTTSS). Unfortunately, he has not been heard from since the Kardashian-Humphries wedding last weekend in Montecito, Calif.

In the midst of a driving rainstorm on Sunday, EV Grieve reader Chris stopped to document this find on Rivington at Ridge... where someone had bagged up a Christmas tree nearly, uh, eight months after Jesus' birthday...

Gruber MacDougal, spokesperson for the International Coalition of Tree Tossing in the Spring and Summer (ICTTSS), has been alerted of this discovery. However, he is currently attending an urban think tank at the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort.
