I don't have a lot of appealing food options near my office...So I've done Subway once or twice. Last visit, a guy in front of me got in a fight with a Subway employee...he had ordered turkey, and the Subway fellow tried to cut the sandwich with the knife that he just used on a gloppy tuna sub. The guy said he was allergic to tuna, and to use a clean knife. The Subway guy just wiped the knife on his apron. I thought it was kind of funny.
When I moved to San Diego I was disappointed to learn that the Subways here don't have the Seafood and Crab sub like the Subways back east. It's a bunch of bullshit, I tell you.
Subway employees always act like they are paid by how many shreds of lettuce they DON'T give you. I eat there, but there has been exactly zero times I have not left feeling used. Someone please get a Jersey Mikes out here.

they had a man dressed in a cartoony sub costume handing out flyers. i almost took a pic of him but felt too sorry for the guy.
i know Subway is not the greatest place in the world, nothing old school, they look crappy...but I like Subway! good, cheap and well done!
i don't really like their in-store aroma.

I always thought Seafood and Crab was an odd name for the sub...Technically, crab is seafood, right? So why not just call it the Seafood Sub?
Anyway, just one more reason why I'd NEVER move to San Diego!
I did take a photo of the guy in the sub costume. I have no shame.
You know, Grieve, there's always Chipotle (which is always filled with yuppies around lunchtime) near your office.

You're right, Esquared...That place has been packed at lunchtime since it opened...Have never ventured inside. I don't understand the appeal.
