ABC 7 reported these fires as being "suspicious" in nature. (The third fire was in a trash can near the Walgreens on First Avenue between 17th Street and 18th Street.)
More than 60 firefighters responded to the scene.

I think the blowing horn is going to drain the battery?

Maybe this hit someone who retaliated. They FLY through Stuy Town at high speed all the time (many times they are looking at their cells while doing so)
There are so many cameras in stuy town im sure they will catch whoever did this, if it was intentional.
In the past few months.I have witnessed StuyTown security doing some very heavy-handed eviction of homeless people who were just sitting on a bench minding their own business, with a couple of very loud, angry confrontations. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them came back to settle a score. Apparently StuyTown uses their security cameras to profile undesirable visitors for special treatment, because they certainly don't use the cameras to stop the muggings, package thefts and assaults that happen more often than most residents know.
Glad to have moved out of Stuytown a while ago, as I always hated all the constant golf cart traffic on the sidewalks. Even their leasing agents (i.e. people who do no heavy lifting) get to scoot around the property in little motorized vehicles. Unnecessary and gross and lazy.
I received an email from Manny at Oval Concierge introducing their 'come see for yourself new firepit amenity for SMORES. MMM!'
Did security show? They seem too busy to do public safety .
A side note about Stuy town and a question - I was told I had to leave by walking my friend's dog through there. Isn't that supposed to be open to the public???
sorry but if you are setting fires you need to proceed to either jail or a mental facility immediately. we all saw what happened with the Bronx fire and it's NO laughing matter. "settling a score" is totally ridiculous and can kill innocent people and destroy lives. many residents of stuy town are people born and raised in NY, not the transplants, yuppies and insufferable bros that moved here. it's only funny till YOUR house is on fire, GTFO with these comments.
