As for 128 Second Ave., Tony's Pizza, went dark earlier this year after a June 2021 debut. Seasoned Vegan is next for the space.

Stage had the best stuffed cabbage in the neighborhood, served with big chunks of boiled potatoes. Tomato sauce. Not the also excellent brown mushroom sauce served at the Ukrainian places (we had so many options then). I was once walking home with a takeout order, when a man accosted me in the middle of Houston street and demanded the bag. Nighttime. Light snow falling. I shoved him as hard as I could, and ran home with my dinner unscathed!
What a cool art project! I'd love to see more of those tiles, if anyone spots other ones.
They should do a gem spa tile art piece right across the street.
Great to be reminded of the Stage Deli. For those who don't know what happened there is was a textbook case of predatory real estate developer Icon Development doing everything illegally possible to rid that building of tenants. No gas for years for instance. (Will always love Mr. EVGreive for often being the only media outlet that covered the predatory capitalist devastation of the EV wrought by developers like Icon. And don't believe the Icon hype, they were on the 5 worst landlord list for their abhorrent behavior, were fined $500g by the AG for it, and hired Bloomberg's pr guy to clean up their nasty image.)
