A nondescript new sushi spot has quietly arrived on Avenue B.
Omakase by Tento is now in soft-open mode at 106 Avenue B between Sixth Street and Seventh Street, becoming the first tenant in the recently gut-renovated storefronts.
The restaurant is offering a 14-piece nigiri omakase for $75. Through July 1, customers can also receive 20% off during the soft-opening period.

went on saturday, it was so great!! super friendly staff and an insanely good price. is july 1 officially the end of the deal? the sign outside said june 25 - i’m hoping it ends july 1 so i can go again next weekend haha

I was curious about this place too and would like to know more, specifically if it's Japanese-run or not. Not to knock on some of the other spots that have popped up, but there's definitely a different level associated with Japanese-run (and staffed, especially chefs) vs. non and while the signage and socials suggest Japanese-run, would be great if EVG could find out more.
