Subway riders preparing for all scenarios now when taking the L train

Because an avalanche hasn't caused delays on the L... yet.

Photo at the First Avenue L stop this morning by Andrew Adam Newman on Ave C.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that that pic is not on Ave C.

@ anon

It is 1st Avenue and 14th Street... Andrew has contributed photos here though the years, and he uses Andrew Adam Newman on Ave C as the credit.

Since you obviously missed the profile on Stepford + Blasé, let me introduce you to Skeee! Skeee! - think weee! - is the fun new Millennial-centric restaurant to take the cranky old East Village by storm! The concept is way simple! Diners take turns standing on the skis while a classically trained ice-shaver throws a cup of shaved ice in your face. It's fun and exciting and $30! Oh! And not for old people - you must be under 15 to eat at Skeee! Skeee! is open Fridays only from 2:30PM-3PM. #yum

I thought I'd get lazy yesterday and take the L from Union SQ to 1st Ave - NOPE! platform was jam packed at 2 pm on a hot Sunday so I walked.

Those look like old school downhill K2 skis, rather a narrow (72 mm tops?) width. If the bindings are 10 years or over in age, time to get rid of them.

The L train would be much faster if they would just let people walk through the tunnel to Brooklyn.

Scavenger Alert! You can find all kinds of stuff walking around Stuy Town at the end of the month. The turnover nowadays is very high, unlike the old days when moving trucks were a rare sight. It's like NYU evacuation day, 12 times a year!

@AM Including human feces! Did you see the dump on the Stuyvesant Town report?
