The bakery-dessert shop, which started in Flushing, also has locations in Astoria and Midtown (and they ship their sweets like eclairs, cheesecake and cookies nationwide).
No word on an opening date.
The address was most recently Auriga Cafe... and before that, the world-famous Empire Biscuit.

Geez people, it's a cafe and bakery. Unless they go for a full liquor license I say welcome to the hood.
even though this is not empire biscuit, they have loud nuisance refrigeration equipment cycling all hors of the night creating a nuisance for the tenants who live in the building. whenever DEP comes it is quiet how amazing. if only they would keep it at that level all the time. If empire biscuit did not succeed in driving out the rent stabilized tenants- maybe these will. just what the neighborhood needs- a business who doesn't get that making sure they are not a nuisance to the people who live here is part of their costs of doing business.
