Several readers have pointed out the lights adorning the Jefferson, the incoming condos at 211 E. 13th St. near Third Avenue … aka, the Northwest East Village …

Maybe it's some sort of lighting to bring this back home to the former Mystery Lot, where the Jefferson stands now?

Anyway, the new 82-unit building at the site of the former Mystery Lot in the North West East Village is reportedly all sold out as of December.

The next development to note here will likely be the sight of moving trucks…

As The Real Deal reported back in December, the 82-unit condo at the site of the former Mystery Lot in the North West East Village is 100 percent in contract.

Meanwhile, the sidewalk remains closed.

Report: The Jefferson is all sold out

The Jefferson, the new 82-unit condo at the site of the former (sob) Mystery Lot in the North West East Village, is 100 percent in contract, The Real Deal reported.

Prices at the building, officially 211 E. 13th St. between Second Avenue and Third Avenue, ranged from $795,000 for a 536-square-foot studio to more than $3.5 million for the penthouse.

Here is Jacqueline Urgo, who helped lead the sale for the Marketing Directors:

“The product was planned perfectly for the marketplace, including an exterior that fit in contextually with the neighborhood,” Urgo said via email. “While other developers were building family-sized residences, we planned smaller homes for this marketplace, a decision that was validated by the strong velocity of sales. Our buyers were predominately primary residents, many of whom were already committed to the East Village neighborhood and wanted to move up to this level of luxury and lifestyle.”

Plus, as the Jefferson ads showed, everything works! Unlike that craphole you live in…

Hey, let's pay a visit to the North West East Village, where work continues on the Jefferson, the new condo building at 211 E. 13th St. (AKA the former Mystery Lot).

According to Streeteasy, 12 units are currently in contract here. There are 83 units in total at The Jefferson, named for the theater that once sat on the site.

Per Streeteasy, eight of the units are now in contract ... including a two-bedroom penthouse with roof terrace ($2.85 million asking price). Remaining homes range in price from $1.9 million to $2.2 million here at the former Mystery Lot.

Condos at The Jefferson released into the wild

Back on April 23, The Jefferson — the luxury condos that rose up from the former Mystery Lot on East 13th Street — unveiled its pricing and floor plans.

And yesterday, five of those units arrived on Streeteasy... including a 582-square-foot studio ($850,000) and a pièce de résistance, the 1,300-square-foot penthouse ($2,895 million).

And a smidgen of the marketing copy:

There is no more charming, lively and exciting neighborhood in Manhattan than the East Village. It is alive with history, culture and creativity — but living here can be a challenge. Most residential buildings are over 100 years old and built to a scale unsuited to contemporary lifestyles. Many find the compromise worth it. But the Jefferson provides perfect answer, with no compromise required.

Not sure if The Jeff has sold any units... however, at least two scalies are now squatting on the roof garden...

And yesterday, The Jefferson — the luxury condos that rose up from the former Mystery Lot on East 13th Street — unveiled its pricing and floor plans, as BuzzBuzz Home first noted. (We spotted the listings at Curbed.)

The Jefferson's marketing campaign asks, "Can you afford not to buy?" Unfortunately, the units turn out to be more than $300. The listings include a 536-square-foot studio for $850,000 up to a two-bedroom penthouse with a rooftop terrace for $2.49 million. In between, one-bedrooms range from $1.11 and $1.54 million.

The end is near(er) for the Mystery Lot

We knew this day was coming... not that it makes it any easier... an unhappy East 13th Street tipster points us to the DOB website, where there are three permits pending approval (dated March 15) related to building over this beloved land of bricks, discarded holiday trees, aliens, etc.

As the Post first reported on Jan. 19, the space will become an 82-unit, eight-story development that should break ground this summer for a late 2013 opening. "Prices are still to be determined for the project’s studio and one-, two- and three-bedroom units," according to the Post.

The work permits say that the space will include 86,409 square feet for residential and 5,275 square feet for retail. The good news about the retail: You can likely count out an iHop ... 7-Eleven... KFC... Dunkin' Donuts...Duane Reade...

BKSK is listed as the architect of record... according to the BKSK website, their residential work includes 25 Bond Street, home of $20 million apartments and, once, Will Smith, as Curbed has noted.

Marketing the Mystery Lot

So you know developers are turning the long-empty Mystery Lot off 14th/13th Streets near Third Avenue into condos... The Real Deal reported yesterday afternoon that the developers "hired Jacqueline Urgo, president of the Marketing Developers, to promote the property, which is slated for groundbreaking this summer."

Jackie! (Jac? JU?) have WE got some marketing ideas for you! Let's talk! [motions with pinky-thumb to ear as if holding a phone].


More on this later. Meanwhile, the future Mystery Lot address is officially 211 E. 13th St. And another tidbit from Real Deal:

The project will feature a mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, plus 4,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space on East 14th Street. Amenities include a gym, lounge and roof deck with an outdoor kitchen. Buyers will have a chance to purchase private storage and roof terraces.

And on a clear day, you'll be able to smell bacon.
