When you try to enter Diablo Royale Este in an extra large Santa head

Avenue A between 10th Street and 11th Street..... Thanks to EV Grieve reader Hank's Pound of Spaghetti for the photo....

Reporting for duty

11th Street and Second Avenue this morning. Santacon is on. Do with this information what you want. They're a) fun-loving thrillseekers enjoying some holiday camaraderie b) obnoxious twats.

Santacar back in the East Village on Christmas night

After delivering presents to the eligible 378 million* children in the world (roughly 91.8 million homes), Santa was back driving around in the East Village last night in his Santacar. He looks surprisingly refreshed and clean for having climbed down 91.8 million chimneys.

Thanks to EV Grieve reader Cheryl for this Santacar photo....

Here comes Santa Claus...right down St. Mark's Place...

Has anyone else spotted the SantaCar? Here it is on St. Mark's near Second Avenue. Missed the shot of the young men giving Santa the middle finger. Damn.

SANTA! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

A little brisk, but a fine morning nonetheless to run some errands. It's rather peaceful out and...

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!

SANTA! SANTA! I followed a group of Santas up First Avenue who kept yelling at people a block ahead of them -- at 9:30 a.m. ... And someone asked my where the North Pole was -- two different times along Third Avenue. Can't wait till they all start drinking...

The Santas are congregating now at Lunasa.

Five starting points for Santacon this year. Around here, people are meeting at Lunasa on First Avenue at 10 a.m. And per the Santacon Web site:

It is NOT a bar crawl for assholes wearing a Santa hat!

And did some of the participants ever find any little people to tag along...?
