The gate has been down at Avenue B for several weeks. Google and Yelp both list the location as permanently closed.
In fact, all the NYC outposts — we counted seven locations — have closed.
An Everytable rep told an EVG reader: "Last week, we made the incredibly tough decision to leave New York for now." The rep said they would take a "step back in this moment to build a truly revolutionary company." (We reached out for comment as well.)
The Everytable website no longer lists any NYC addresses, with 11 locations still serving in Southern California.

The place is locked for some time now.
The gap between all the brand's statements and the real product was enormous. Really poor execution and business management.
The market it replaced was an awesome place to have in the area. Had been there for decades. Now it'll most likely be empty for years. Hopefully the blight of unsustainable VC funded retail startups is starting to die down. A business that actually has to make money at that location (aka. an actual local business) can't compete with those.
I was surprised they even opened there in the first place. I am from LA originally. This concept honestly works better there than here. Just my two cents. Whomever chose to branch out here in NYC didn't do their research.
Stopped in for lunch when they first opened to support local business and thought it was kinda expensive - not really "affordable for everyone" at all! Wondered how long it would take for them to close...

Not surprised at the Ave B store. Bad location for this type of concept. The place was pretty much empty of customers open to close
@xeo, the market previously in this location (which I loved and miss) had been closed for several years before Everytable moved in.
I mostly cook my own food but I thought their offerings were good. The people who worked there were lovely and I hope they’ve landed somewhere else.
Subway was at 223 Avenue B... where Saint Pizza is.
No, it used to be East Village produce. It had very fresh vegetables daily and was easy to get in and out. They had high quality goods. Their rent was tripled I heard so they closed.
Food was terribad. Microwavable but twice the price. Well said above-- great mission and a huge gap between the vision and it's execution here.
Food was actually great IMO if you reheated it properly-on stove top, not a microwave. It will be missed by me.
There was also one in Astoria (30th Ave/30th St). Closed some time in December. I went twice and picked up food for dinner and thought it was pretty good.
Agree. I liked the food and shopped at the 6th Ave loc every week. I miss them.
Sorry to see it go. They had healthy affordable options. I wasn’t sure about the ave B location. I thought closer to ave A or 1st ave would be better. But then the nyc rents are ridiculous. I don’t see how any small business makes it.
This was my default lunch in downtown Brooklyn. Very good for for the price, without any waiting. Big piece of grilled salmon, roasted sweet potatoes, quinoa, lettuce, a bunch of other stuff for $11. Total bargain. Probably my healthiest meals every week. I'll be sorry to see them go.
