More change coming to Avenue C: "The possibilities are endless!"

Yeah, it's no secret that this building on Avenue C between 6th Street and 7th Street is for sale. It's just when you see the ad for the property in the Elliman window that...that, well, just read the description of this "rare opportunity" for yourself. Then you can throw up on your own shoes.

The building is delivered "vacant and renovated." Like to know what happened to the former tenants...

yeah, and those short stays of $550 a night! why does it sound like an illegal hotel, with rates as high as the bowery hotel?

Yeah, wonder how they're marketing these rooms at that price..."Just steps to Zum Schneider!"

That's amazing. I'm a few blocks north, and really have to go take a better look. People renting those "units" for a short stay on luxurious Avenue C are probably Galway Kinnell fans, looking to boast that they slept the night on the Avenue Bearing the Initial of Christ Into the New World. That or dudes looking to score crack and haven't figured out they're 20 odd years too late.

$350-$550 a night? That used to be the monthly rent for these units, before gentrification. Plus, you probably couldn't even pay these gentrifiers $350-$550 to spend an hour, much less a night, back then in Alphabet City.

I wonder what their definition of "renovated" is because from the photo it looks like the 2nd floor windows are boarded up. Or are those decorative orange curtains?
