I've heard hurricanes can pick up and drop boxes of Fruity Pebbles literally miles from their points of origins.

that reminds me....

http://www.grownyc.org/greenmarket
"Saturday 8/27 and Sunday 8/28 all Greenmarkets will be CLOSED, and all GrowNYC events and activities are cancelled with the following exceptions: the Saturday Union Square, Inwood, Fort Greene Park, and Grand Army Plaza Greenmarkets will be open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

We will update this page as we learn more."

so union square greenmarket will be open for 1/2 day.

These people are such fucking losers. The same kind of people that wait on an hour long line for brunch.

Why are they ransacking grocery stores? It is literally ONE OR TWO DAYS of a storm, and people act like they're going to be starving for a month.

Jeez - Fruity Pebbles and a 5 pound bag of potatoes in the egg refrigerator? And this is BEFORE Irene. After Irene, it's going to be like Mad Max around here.

Officer, please, for God's sake, they're looting the Food King!

Someone is going to be sorry they didn't take those Fruity Pebbles. Probably at the height of the storm when nothing would be more soothing than a bowl of the sugary cereal.

Great shot and great title. Be safe Grieve--you know I may be out there--probably fly into Bob A and Bobby W in Tompkins.

If they do a post-Irene Mad Max movie, I want to play the Feral Kid.
