And it rained when the sun was out, at around five. And, Anon, if you can't tell that those pictures are of NYC...they are facing vaguely toward Houston (the street, not the city). According to a friend, it poured in midtown at about the same time.
when the heavy afternoon rain came the sun was out and the lighting of the trees and sky was absolutely fabulous and i didn't have my camera st marks church looked "heavenly"
The most beautiful thing in these shots outside of the rainbow and the solitary red brick apartment amongst the pale is that you can't see any stupid, overpriced, ugly design, glass-fronted hi-rises towering over them and obscuring the urban dichotomy of heaven and earth.
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.

This is amazing. No rain here in NYC--where were these rainbows??
Anon - it rained here for a good part of the day. Really hard too actually.

Yet.
Thanks, Marty and Santa. One comment for blue grass: ALWAYS have your camera. I usually carry two, but I'm nuts.
My wife said she saw a double rainbow coming home from 20th St. In a normal tone of voice not like the YouTube guy.
