The principals here, identified as Mina Ibrahim and Mido Emad, were OK'd for a liquor license here in March 2022 via CB3. The Community Board's minutes describe this as a "full kitchen serving Mexican food."

here) on file at the CB3 website includes a menu, showing more high-end items (i.e., wagyu beef huarache and potato tetela with caviar) and a list of specialty cocktails.

wow, I had forgotten about Max, that was a great affordable place with a fantastic outdoors space, that truly was a very different hood back then

I remember when it opened, it was a lunch fav.
Max was a lovely restaurant back when restaurants respected their neighbors. Now it's a land grab for public sidewalk space with no regard for noise pollution. More crowds, more music, more loud people. Thanks CB3 for approving yet another restaurant with liquor and protecting people who actually LIVE here.
Instead of the routine complains, why won't you join CB3?
