These people are retarded. Their bathtub is full of water and they didn't buy coffee?
But, considering what I saw when I was walking around the EV yesterday about midnight - HOW ARE YOU 13TH STEP SOPHISTICATES DOING? - these people are desperate for coffee. They are going start mixing Folger's freeze-dried with Irene effluviant any minute now.
Ugh. It's not the line so much, but the usual idiots standing in it. I knew the bliss of empty streets wouldn't last for long.

I guarantee every single one of them tweeted about how "amazing" the experience of being on line for coffee is, and how they feel a real sense of "community."
I saw this. And I wondered at it. I thought maybe Mud was giving it away for free. But no, just coffee lemmings, apparently.
I think people are just using this as an excuse to get out of the house. I know I want to right now, but the subway system is still down. :(
Well, their favorite Starbuck's across the street is closed, so they flocked to the nearest alternative.
Most of those folks probably didn't even know MUD existed.
They just wander from Starbuck's to Starbuck's all weekend.
It reminds me of photos of breadlines in the (2nd) Great Depression.
