I saw one lone Sanitation Man emptying the trash on Avenue A. The prevention of flying missles is very important.
Reminds me of the bicycles buried in snowdrifts from last winter.
I saw the guy tying this earlier. At first I was thinking how it wouldn't do a thing, but it looks like he was pretty thorough, and it looks like a much better strategy than just tipping the bins over and putting them right next to buildings.
I'd like to see an "after" photo to determine the efficacy of this method. I daresay those living in the caribbean who read EV Grieve (no doubt numbering in the millions) are having a chuckle at this.
Worthy of a Pulitzer.
