As Jeremiah first noted yesterday, a Ricky's is opening at the long-dormant Miracle Garden space on First Avenue near Seventh Street...
... and the store will also fill the retail space at the newish apartment building at 92 Seventh St., the site of the Miracle Grill's former garden...
An interesting turn of events... the space had been on the market as a restaurant...
Given the adjacent Foodie Row of Seventh Street, Foodie Row Watchers figured this space was destined for something artisanal or drizzled or food trucked...

The food was so delicious at the Miracle Grill but the one I really miss is tha Miracle Grill when it moved to the west village in that great old space. I used to love to eat there for the great food and beautiful old space. I think there is still one in Brooklyn.
Ricky's fine! Anything is better than artisinal.
Miracle Grill - meh - a lil' over-priced for me, but I did enjoy breakfast in that garden and some art openings when it was Hiro Gallery Cafe. Bring on Ricky's.
I remember eating at miracle grill years ago in the garden, enjoying some of their white peach sangria. I had brought my parents their once and they thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the back garden. This was a main stay for us while it was there but much like everything in the east village this destination abruptly closed and was never heard from again...
