Asia Society Museum presents an exhibition of 227 photographs taken by famed Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei, capturing the history, culture, and atmosphere of 1980s New York from his unique perspective.

The exhibit opens today, and closes on Aug. 14.

this poor man is being physically tortured by the chinese government for no good reason. so f*cking wrong. and he even built the birdsnest for the 2011 olympics! very nice how they treat their national art heroes there. repressive bast@rds!!!
