Subway looking for ways to make you fatter, jumpier

So on Monday, the Subway here on the Bowery started advertising some new items... Coffee! And! Pizza(?).

And why are there still grand opening signs up? This location opened at the end of 2009.

And just so you'd have to notice, the Subwayers hung the notices from the sidewalk shed outside the Whitehouse next door...

Not sure if other participating Subway shops are offering these items.

To be honest, I did walk into the new Subway on Avenue B over the weekend. For jolleys. And, the weirdest thing — one foot off Avenue B and it felt as if I'd been transported to the basement of Penn Station. I swear I even heard someone mention Ronkonkoma. I quickly left.

And this pretty much sums it up: City's 45,679th Subway taking over former Downtown Music space on the Bowery

I was just saying to a friend the other day, "I wish there was a faster way to induce explosive diarrhea," a now I learn Subway will be selling pizza and coffee.

This is why I always tell people to dream big!

Overheard walking past the Bowery Subway last night: (in squeaky girl voice) "I feel, like...like, I...like...I have no knowledge!"

Even Gray's Papaya has recently stooped to selling cheap slices. WTF? I'm guessing that cheap pizza is a staple food of the tards, and there's just so many tards to feed these days you'd be a fool business owner to not sell it. Who's next, Dunkin Donuts? Taco Bell?

Subway's been selling pizza and coffee nationwide for years. Have you never walked by one of the 1902394830948 Subways in the other parts of the city or in other cities?

I had no idea! These signs are brand new here on the Bowery. They went up on Monday. I usually don't walk near Subways so that bread smell doesn't make me gag...
