Workers take out the downed willow tree in La Plaza Cultural
Ugh. Workers are removing the Irene-damaged willow tree from La Cultural Plaza on Avenue C at Ninth Street this afternoon...

I'm gonna miss that tree. Kinda sad.
i will miss this tree too. when my now husband first joined me in the east village it was one of the places i took him on a walking tour to show him the sites. i've always loved this tree.
