Space that houses Native Bean on Avenue A is for rent

If you walked past Native Bean on Avenue A this past weekend, then you probably saw that new "for rent" sign hanging above the gate...

The space is for rent. According to the listing at Tower Brokerage...

It's a 10-year lease at $10,000 per month. We understand that it's possible that Native Bean will stay here.

I agree. This is one of the few places that reminds me of the old EV. The guys are so nice here too.

That would be a real loss--its getting so there's no place around to get a good sandwich to go at lunchtime. (Gracefully's to go stuff is closer to corner-deli level).

Oh, wait...in a couple of months I can go to Starbucks!

Glamma & Steph said the two exact things that I was going to say. I saw the sign the other day... it's gone, kids. The EV is gone.

I love this place, everyone there is so so nice and it is always a pleasure going in. if I am short a bit they are quick to offer for me to bring it next time (which I always do). but they have a huge amount of unused space in the back. Part of me wonders if they cant do better by finding a smaller spot, but still close enough for me to frequent. I am not condoning them being pushed, but maybe a new location might work in their favor.

This has to be the warmest, friendliest spot in the whole neighborhood. If they leave, I will cry.

NOOO! This is by far the best place to get a tasty AND affordable breakfast/lunch/coffee. Would be a real loss to the neighborhood, the guys there are so friendly too
