Closings: Milk Burger on Houston

Photos by Stacie Joy

A year-end closure to note: The Milk Burger outpost has shut down at 321 E. Houston St. between Attorney and Ridge... no official word on what was behind this closure...
The burger joint arrived in July 2022, and the Bronx outpost of the brand launched in 2011 remains in service.

El Maguey y La Tuna closed here in 2018 after the landlord reportedly doubled the rent.

I was wondering how they stayed open so long. There was never anyone in there, and the burgers were small and expensive.

Landlords are money 💰 hungary they don't care if they have a good Tennant who pays the rent on time those days are long gone

“Milk burger” sounded like a bad, fake food from Its Always Sunny in Philly show

The burgers are pricey without a side. Hard to survive in this area.

Been in the neighborhood for years and only ate here once. Good tasting food but on the pricier side with small portions. Hard to keep up with the offerings in the neighbor.

I don't even keep Kosher, but really, a "milk burger" sounds gross.
