NYU has annoyed neighbors for a long time, apparently
Well, this is almost too good to be true...It's from a New York Times article from January 1914, back when NYU was (mostly) in the Bronx. You can read a PDF of the article here.

Nice find! I'm not so up on my NYU history, but it seems like the Bronx version was more like a traditional college atmosphere rather than the high rise campus of today.

And it's dispiriting to note that NYU ignored or downplayed the issues their students caused even back then. Guess some things never change.

This is too great! And "Porch Repose Impossible" is another great band name, or perhaps a movie title.
